Through the pine forest to the mouth of the Savio river

Here is another nice idea for those who enjoy outdoor activities.
Even without being an expert cyclist, riding an ordinary mountain bike, you can easily and pleasurably enjoy the flat route of just over 25 km immersed in the green pine forests that extend between Ravenna and Cervia.
One section runs along the banks of the Savio river, almost at its mouth, offering a very pleasant landscape.

Visit Ravenna, a mosaic of emotions

This is an opportunity you should not miss: on holiday in Lido di Savio you will be only 25 km from Ravenna! We are talking about the former capital of the Western Roman Empire, which later became the capital of the Byzantine Exarchate, practically an open-air museum! Just think that Ravenna can boast the record of hosting no less than 8 World Heritage monuments within its city limits, built between the 5th and 6th centuries A.D. by incomparable artists and daring builders. You will be able to visit the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Theodoric, the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe, the Archiepiscopal Chapel (or of Sant’Andrea), the Baptistery of the Arians and the Neonian Baptistery (or of the Orthodox) and admire the testimony of a glorious past and the glittering gold of the mosaics that still enchant the world today.
